| The Greek Payment Agency (O.P.E.K.E.P.E.) became operational and started its activity in 2001 and it is responsible for the three funds E.A.G.F., E.A.F.R.D. and E.F.F. by virtue of Greek Law No 3508. O.P.E.K.E.P.E. is a private legal entity operating for the public interest, supervised by the Minister of Rural Development and Food and has its siege in Athens. The agency pays every year approximately 3 billion € of community subsidies to almost 900.000 beneficiaries, including farmers, farmer associations, export companies. |
